Vaccinations are an important part of preventive care, helping protect your pet from common and potentially serious diseases. At our clinic, vaccine recommendations are based on your pet’s age, lifestyle, and risk factors to ensure appropriate and effective protection.
For Dogs
DHPP / DHLPP
Protects against distemper, adenovirus (hepatitis), parvovirus, and parainfluenza. These are core vaccines that help prevent highly contagious and potentially life-threatening diseases.
(DHLPP also includes protection against leptospirosis, a bacterial disease that can affect both pets and humans.)
Bordetella
Protects against a primary cause of kennel cough, a contagious respiratory infection commonly spread in social environments such as boarding facilities, grooming, and dog parks.
Rabies
A required vaccine that protects against rabies, a fatal virus that can be transmitted to both animals and humans.
Lyme
Protects against Lyme disease, which is transmitted through ticks and can lead to joint pain, fever, and long-term health issues.
Influenza
Protects against canine influenza (dog flu), a contagious respiratory virus that can spread in environments where dogs are in close contact.
Rattlesnake
Designed to help reduce the severity of symptoms in the event of a rattlesnake bite. While not a replacement for emergency care, it can provide additional protection for pets in higher-risk areas.
For Cats
FVRCP
Protects against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia. These are core vaccines that help prevent upper respiratory infections and serious viral illness.
FeLV
Protects against feline leukemia virus, which affects the immune system and can be transmitted through close contact with infected cats.
Rabies
A required vaccine that protects against rabies, a fatal virus that can be transmitted to both animals and humans.
Vaccines are most effective when given as part of a complete preventive care plan, including routine exams and appropriate scheduling based on your pet’s needs. We’re happy to go over pricing with you and make sure you feel comfortable with your pet’s care plan.
